501FC ("we", "us", the "site") operates the football darts game available at 501FC.com. We are committed to keeping the amount of personal data we hold to the minimum needed to run the game, and to being clear about how it is used. By using the site you agree to the practices described below.

Information we collect

We collect a small amount of information so the game can work:

• Anonymous player ID. When you play the Daily Challenge or a local match without signing in, we store a random identifier in your browser's local storage. It is not linked to your name or email and lets us record your scores and achievements on the device you play on.
• Account details (optional). If you choose to sign in for online multiplayer or a public profile, we use Google or GitHub sign-in through our authentication provider. We receive a username and avatar so we can show your profile and save your stats. We never see or store your password for those services.
• Gameplay data. Scores, turns, checkout results, and achievements you earn, so leaderboards and your profile work.
• Usage analytics. Aggregated, privacy-respecting product analytics (for example, which game modes are used) help us understand and improve the site.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and similar browser storage for a few distinct purposes:

• Essential storage — the anonymous player ID and, if you sign in, a session cookie that keeps you logged in.
• Analytics — to measure how the site is used in aggregate.
• Advertising — see the section below.

Advertising and Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on some pages. To do this, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies. Specifically:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.

If you live in a US state with a comprehensive privacy law — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia — you have additional rights over your personal information.

Categories we collect

• Identifiers — the anonymous player ID and, if you sign in, the username and avatar from your sign-in provider. Collected to run the game and save your progress.
• Internet and device activity — which pages and game modes are used, and the cookies and identifiers used for advertising. Collected for analytics and advertising.
• Gameplay data — scores, turns, checkout results and achievements. Collected to run leaderboards and profiles.

We do not collect sensitive personal information, we do not use personal information to profile you in ways that produce legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

Sale and sharing

We do not sell your personal information for money. When personalised advertising is active, information about your device and browsing is disclosed to Google and its advertising partners so they can show ads based on your activity across other sites. Several state laws — California's in particular — define that disclosure as a "sale" or as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising. We therefore treat it as such and give you a way to opt out.

Do not sell or share my personal information

You can opt out of personalised advertising at any time using the Privacy and cookie settings link at the bottom of any page, or the opt-out link Google presents in states where one is required. Opting out does not remove ads — it means the ads you see are no longer based on your activity across other sites.

Where your browser sends a recognised universal opt-out signal such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), our advertising provider receives it directly and applies restricted data processing automatically. This applies in the states that require it, including Colorado, Connecticut, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey and Texas.

Your other rights

• Know and access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we hold about you.
• Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
• Delete — ask us to delete your personal information, including your signed-in account.
• Portability — receive a copy of your data in a portable form.
• Non-discrimination — we will not deny you the game, degrade it, or charge you differently for exercising these rights.
• Appeal — if we decline a request, you may ask us to reconsider. Where your state provides one, you may also complain to your attorney general.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@501FC.com from the address on your account, or include your player ID if you play without signing in, so we can identify the right records. We respond within the time your state's law allows. You may use an authorised agent where your state permits it.

Children

501FC is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
